A Textile Engineer graduated from the Hautes Études d’Ingénieur and with a postgraduate degree in Fashion and Luxury Management from the Institut Français de la Mode, Océane Joncoux initially worked in production management and collection development for major brands such as Maison Michel (Chanel), Saint Laurent (Kering), Loewe (LVMH), as well as for start-ups that significantly impacted international fashion, such as Vêtements, Marine Serre, and Wales Bonner. Passionate about artisan craftsmanship and committed to creating a positive and sustainable impact on her environment, she joined the ETHICAL FASHION INITIATIVE, a program of the INTERNATIONAL TRADE CENTER (UN + WTO), in 2018. Through various programs, she supports fashion designers and artisans across several African countries, including South Africa, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, Lesotho, Mali, and Nigeria.
