Saeed Kabeel is an actor, director, and acting coach with over 30 years of experience. A graduate of the Theater Department at Alexandria University, he has acted in 80+ theater performances and participated in many local and international acting workshops. He also studied acting in front of the camera at the New York Acting School for Film and TV (USA). As a director, his work includes Wuza Albert, Aly Elziebak, the Auction, A Party for the Crazy people, The Phase, Twelve Angry Men, Zahab Ellil, Opera Talks featuring superstar Housien Fahmy, Ya Aziz Ayny Featuring Aly El Hagar with Bibliotheca Alexandrina Orchestra and Choir, and Samual Becket play (Endgame) which represents Egypt in the official competition at the Carthage Theater Festival, 2024 in Tunisia. He has also appeared in independent films such as Islands, Local Copy, Away from Heat, Hawi, Lonely Fighter in the Space, Tartarus and Hawi.

Saeed was a stage directing trainer in the stars of the Future workshop, and approving stage directors’ program at the Ministry of Culture, and he also mentored in the Basita Mentorship Program. He has served on jury committees at various local and international festivals, including the Alexandria International Theater Festival, Freedom Theater Festival, and the Festival of Choreography in Greece. He was the general coordinator for the Alexandria International Festival for Contemporary Theater in 2014 and 2015 and a member of the Theater Committee of the Supreme Council of Culture from 2013-2015.

Currently, Saeed is a Senior Manager of Programming at the American University in Cairo. He was the Director of the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theater (2021-2022) and previously worked at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, including roles as Head of the Programming Unit and Theater Program Coordinator.
