Sami Creta, originally from Egypt, earned his Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts in 2008. He continued his academic pursuits by obtaining a Master’s degree in Cultural Management from Sophia University Institute in Italy in 2014.
He assumed the role of Programme Manager at the Jesuit Cultural Centre in Alexandria. In 2019, Creta was selected to participate in the department of state’s premiere professional exchange programme: International Visitor Leadership Programme (IVLP) in the USA, focusing on the theme of “”Social Change through the Arts.””
In 2022, he was appointed as a Cultural Manager Expert for the Mediterranean Forum in Marseille and contributed to the formulation of the “”2030 Mediterranean Appeal”” proposal presented to the French President. That same year, Creta was honoured with the title ‘Chevalier (Knight) of the Order of Arts and Literature’ by the French Ministry of Culture.
In 2023, he furthered his expertise by completing the Arts Management course offered by the DeVos Institute at the University of Maryland in collaboration with the US Embassy in Cairo. Since May 2023, Creta has relocated to Cairo to serve as an Arts Project Manager at the British Council in Egypt.
