Beshoy Adel Makram holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Minya University. He has worked in various cities on theatrical directing, cultural management, and using arts for development, including Jordan, Tunisia, and Morocco. He later founded Dawar Arts Center in Minya, a cultural and artistic hub supporting artists through workspaces, workshops, and organizing festivals and cultural events. Through Dawar Arts Center, Makram has spearheaded numerous projects, including international collaborations such as the Tandem Shaml program, supported by Al Mawred Al Thaqafy, and Meet Coast. Over two years, he directed joint Egyptian-Irish theatrical productions in Arabic and English, accompanied by shared training across several European and Arab countries, with performances showcased in multiple Arab and European nations.
On a local level, Makram has also worked with regional organizations such as CARE International and Save the Children as a consultant and theater director, focusing on issues like domestic violence, refugees, and the use of arts for development. He has also collaborated with various cultural institutes, including the Goethe-Institut, British Council, Swiss Cultural Center, and French Cultural Center.
