Aya Dowara is the Producer and Executive Director of Sard Productions and CineGouna Forum Manager at the El Gouna Film Festival. She is a film producer and creative lead with a diverse portfolio spanning film production, cultural management, and program development. Most recently, she co-produced the short film “Objects Are Closer Than They Appear” (dir. Ahmed Sobhy), which premiered at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival 2023. She was also the co-producer of the acclaimed documentary “Captains of Zaatari” and a member of the production team for the TV series “Newton’s Cradle” during Ramadan 2021.

Previously, Dowara served as the Director of the European-Egyptian Cultural Program at the EU National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) from 2021 to 2023. She has also managed notable initiatives such as the HerStory Films Incubator and served as the Cairo Industry Days Partnership Manager at the Cairo International Film Festival in 2023 and MedFest Business development portfolios.
