About the Green Hackathon
A 4-day event designed to develop innovate solutions and creating sustainable and scalable business models and strategies.
Participants will meet like-minded individuals and work in teams to brainstorm, collaborate, spark innovative startup ideas, and developing a prototype.
Teams will receive support from mentors throughout the event, and all teams will pitch their concepts to a panel of experts. Successful teams will receive a financial award to help take the first steps toward executing their ideas.
Nahdet El Mahrousa is implementing this program with support from Arabian Cement Company.

Key Environmental Challenges/Themes
The hackathon focuses on addressing two primary challenges:

Sustainable Construction
Exploring ideas for environmentally friendly designs and building materials. This includes energy efficiency, renewable energy, green technology, and innovative construction methods.

Cement Waste Management
The cement industry generates significant amounts of solid waste and gaseous emissions. The goal is to innovate ways to recycle various types of waste and reduce emissions.

Who Can Apply?
This hackathon is open to anyone eager to make a real impact and who is passionate about finding sustainable environmental solutions to existing problems.
Apply if you are:
- Between the ages of 18 and 30.
- Passionate about environmental sustainability and innovation
- Open to working in teams and collaborating on creative solutions
- Have a startup idea with social or environmental impact (or be ready to develop one).

عن برنامج خَلّيها سويسي

يعد برنامج خليها و جددها امتدادًا وتطورًا لبرنامج خَلّيها سويسي الذي استمر لمدة ٨ سنوات واهتم بدعم رواد الأعمال المجتمعية في محافظة السويس من خلال مساعدتهم على مواجهة التحديات الاقتصادية والمحلية وخلق فرص لمشاريع قابلة للربح ولها تأثير مجتمعي أو بيئي. ولذلك، برنامج خليها وجددها هو التعاون الثاني لنهضة المحروسة مع شركة العربية للأسمنت، ويسعى إلى توسيع الأثر المجتمعي وانتشاره بجميع محافظات مصر.
برنامج خَلّيها سويسي برعاية الشركة العربية للأسمنت وتنفذه جمعية نهضة المحروسة. وكان مصدر دعم وتطوير لرواد الأعمال والمشاريع والشركات الناشئة المجتمعية في السويس. ركز البرنامج على دعم الشركات الناشئة في مرحلتين مختلفتين:
مرحلة الفكرة: وفيها وجه الدعم لرواد الأعمال بداية من مرحلة الفكرة إلى التحقق من فاعليتها، فتم تزويدهم بالمهارات والمعرفة بريادة الأعمال المجتمعية، مع تسليط الضوء على الفرص المجتمعية والبيئية المتاحة في السويس.
المرحلة المبكرة: أستهدفت هذه المرحلة المشاريع المجتمعية في المراحل المبكرة من تواجدها في الأسواق. وفيها العمل على تمكين رواد الأعمال من الوصول إلى خدمات مالية وغير مالية مما يساعد على تأسيس تلك الشركات الناشئة على أسس قوية.
ظهر نجاح البرنامج من خلال تأثيره في ريادة الأعمال المجتمعية ورؤية التغير الإيجابي داخل المجتمعات في محافظة السويس. على مدار ٨ سنوات من العمل، نلاحظ تأثيرًا ملموسًا على المشهد الريادي في السويس، حيث دعم البرنامج نمو ٧٠ مشروعًا ناشئًا، وطـوَّر إمكانيات أكثر من ٢٠٠ رائد أعمال مجتمعي، وقدم أكثر من ٣٠٠ ساعة من التدريب وجلسات الاستشارة في ١٥ قطاعًا مختلفًا. ألهم هذا البرنامج القائمين عليه، لبداية برنامج آخر يمتد تأثيره إلى خارج حدود السويس، محتضنًا مناطق جديدة ينشر فيها الأثر المجتمعي و هو البرنامج الجديد خليها و جددها.

About Nahdet El Mahrousa

Nahdet El Mahrousa (NM) is an Egyptian not-for-profit, non-governmental organization (NPO/NGO) that builds the capacities of organizations to improve and expand their social impact. It does so through a) an incubator program that supports social enterprsies from the idea stages all the way to the growth and scale up phases, b) a capacity building program for NGOs and other civil society organizations, and c) an entrepreneurs’ hub that offers business support services, coworking facilities, and a range of other services like trainings, workshops, events, and networking opportunities.
