About the Program

Nahdet El Mahrousa is excited to announce the launch of a new early-stage round of Ebda3 Ma7ali.

This round is dedicated to supporting innovative early-stage social enterprises across various industries, helping them build and develop sustainable, scalable models that positively impact society.

These rounds are part of the Ebda3 Ma7ali program, a sector-neutral incubation program that began in 2015, fully funded by Nahdet El Mahrousa.

Personalized one-on-one consultations addressing early-stage topics tailored to the specific technical and business needs of each enterprise.

    Up to 40,000 EGP, zero-equity funding.

Access to experienced mentors across various domains.

Discounted BSU Services

On-demand financial, legal, HR, and digital marketing services from NM’s Business Support Unit (BSU), including financial auditing and internal legal document creation.

 A dedicated project development service offered by our team.

Access to relevant networks (impact Investors, donors, companies, experts, professional mentors, social entrepreneurs etc.) as well as other opportunities including local and international events.

Discounted Co-Working Space

Access to shared space at Garage El Mahrousa, Nahdet El Mahrousa’s co-working space in downtown Cairo, at discounted rates.

This year we are running Ebda3 Ma7ali as part of the Egypt Urban Campaign.

In light of that, we are dedicating specific slots for social startups from sustainable urbanization sectors and other related fields.  

 

Startup Eligibility Criteria

We are looking for social enterprises that meet the following criteria

1

Address Local Social Challenges

Your startup should provide solutions that effectively tackle social issues within local communities

2

Sustainability and Revenue Generation

Your enterprise should either be sustainable or have a clear plan to achieve sustainability and generate revenue.

3

Scalability 

Your business model should have the potential for significant growth, both in financial terms and social impact.

4

Innovation

Your approach should be innovative, offering new or unconventional solutions to social challenges.

5

Egyptian Nationality

The founding team must consist of Egyptian nationals. 

6

Age Range

Founders should be between 25 and 40 years old.

Round Stages

Applicants must fill in the application by September 17th, 2024.

All applications will be reviewed against the above-mentioned criteria. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by October 2024 and invited for interviews shortly after.

Participants will pitch in front of a panel which will select a limited number of  social enterprises

Selected startups will start the program.

About Egypt Urban Campaign

The Egypt Urban Campaign mobilizes partners and citizens for sustainable urbanization in the lead-up to the World Urban Forum 12 in Cairo (November 2024). Focused on six key pillars—People, Heritage, Resilience, Inclusion, Well-being, and Housing—the campaign promotes impactful events and solutions for better cities in Egypt, giving participants a platform to voice ideas and drive change.

About Nahdet El Mahrousa

Nahdet El Mahrousa (NM) is an Egyptian not-for-profit, non-governmental organization (NPO/NGO) that builds the capacities of organizations to improve and expand their social impact. It does so through a) an incubator program that supports social enterprsies from the idea stages all the way to the growth and scale up phases, b) a capacity building program for NGOs and other civil society organizations, and c) an entrepreneurs’ hub that offers business support services, coworking facilities, and a range of other services like trainings, workshops, events, and networking opportunities.
