Moustafa Kharma
Business Development Coordinator - Nahdet Elmahrousa

Moustafa’s interest in development kicked off back in high school when he volunteered to work on education and micro-finance projects with “Alashanek Ya Balady”, a Cairo-based NGO, in some of the city’s less developed neighbourhoods. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in commerce from Concordia’s John Molson School of Business in Montreal, Canada, and taking full advantage of his geographical proximity; he attended multiple networking and development events such as McGill University’s Arab Development Initiative (ADI), and Harvard’s Social Enterprise Conference. In an effort to recap with his interest in education, he completed a certificate of English language teaching for adults (CELTA) and went on to work as an English Instructor for SENA in Cartagena, Colombia’s largest public vocational school. He is currently back in Cairo, keen on learning more about local development projects, sustainability, and the social entrepreneurship ecosystem.
