At NM, we leverage the ideas and power of social innovators to tackle Egypt's toughest social challenges. We believe Egypt’s young professionals have what it takes to address our problems. At NM, we offer a platform for building social enterprises, along with a network of supportive, like-minded people, to help turn our dreams into reality.
Our work centers on the concepts of social entrepreneurship and social enterprise/start-ups. Over the past 8 years, NM has supported more than 40 social start-ups and enterprises from a wide range of fields. Our currently incubated social start-ups impact over 50,000 beneficiaries annually

Since its inception, NM has been open platform for innovators, social entrepreneurs, and the development community. These individuals gather to further their mission, meet like-minded people, learn about current issues, transform perceived challenges into opportunities, and find meaningful ways to contribute to Egypt’s development.

Sharek is the first Corporate Volunteer Match Platform in Egypt & the Middle East, which matches volunteering opportunities of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) with volunteers from the corporate world. It is a collective effort among a number of partners that believe in the potential of corporate volunteerism to bring about substantial and positive socio-economic change.
· Promote the culture of volunteerism among Egyptian corporate sector
· Increasing the institutional capacity and professionalism of civil society and the organic link between corporate and civil society
· Matching the know-how of the corporate sector with the capability building needs of civil sector, thus capitalizing on the real assets of the corporate sector
· Eliminating obstacles and difficulties in finding effective and impactful Community volunteering opportunities
· Providing an arena for the Egyptian corporate sector to maximize its societal impact via volunteering
Sharek enables CSOs to post volunteering opportunities, providing a brief about them, specifying the number of volunteers needed, and skills required. On the other hand, corporate volunteers will be able to browse the offerings and choose the opportunities that best fit their skills, interests, geographical area, and schedule and the platform would automatically match-make the opportunities.
Sharek engages both corporate employees & civil society organizations in a customized experience of choosing their preferred match.
Middle-East & Pakistan Company Communications Manager at Procter & Gamble
Ramez Farag is P&G’s Company Communications Manager for the Middle-East region, covering Egypt, the Levant countries, the GCC countries, in addition to Pakistan. In this capacity, Farag handles the design and implementation of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) portfolio in the region. He is the Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt’s CSR committee, one of the country's pioneering CSR knowledge centers. He lectured about CSR in various Egyptian forums, in addition to international CSR conferences.Mr. Farag is an Architect. Before joining P&G, he worked for six years in different not-for-profit organizations, mostly in the area of Arts & Culture.
IBM Corporate Citizenship & Corporate Affairs Manager MENA Region
With almost 30 years of experience with IBM, Mona is managing the Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Affairs Unit for IBM Egypt and the MENA Region.Mona is also the Director of L’Eve Institut “LEI, a social enterprise focused on improving the quality of life for the family in general and the feminine entity in specific. As part of LEI’s community mission, Mona provides volunteer Development Training with various NGOs and Associations on Body, Mind, Heart and Soul topics. She is also a sought after speaker, lecturing on various topics: Corporate Social Responsibility, Leadership, Quality & Engineering, provided speeches in most of the Egyptian Universities, Egyptian Media and Business Gatherings. Mona has a Bachelor Degree in Architectural Engineering from Cairo University, an International Management MBA and currently pursuing her Doctorate of Business Administration

Ayman got his Bachelor degree in Economics and post graduate studies in Feasibility Studies and Project Evaluation from Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences, Cairo University. Continued post graduate studies for a Masters in Economics in International Development at the American University in Cairo. Worked as a practitioner, researcher, strategy and business development advisor for national and international development agencies and research and academic institutions in the socioeconomic development and youth empowerment fields. He has a long history of volunteer work, civic engagement and social entrepreneurship with initiatives such as “Namaa initiative for sustainable development” and “Afaq education initiative.”
Sharek Project Manager
In 2007, Shereen got her Bachelor degree from Faculty of Economics and Political Science with a major of Political Science and a passion for development. Since her graduation, she has worked for a number of NGOs and civil society initiatives. She also worked as a Corporate Citizenship & Corporate Affairs professional, IBM Mena Region for two years.
